WASHINGTON, D.C. — October 10, 2024 — (NOTICIAS NEWSWIRE) — HCN Global, and its three owned channels La Red Hispana, LatinEQUIS and Melanin Thriving, launched a groundbreaking national civic participation programming series both English and Spanish, focused on engaging and empowering diverse communities, including youth, first-time voters, Latinos, Black/African American, and LGBTQ+ individuals around the 2024 electoral cycle.

The theme of the 2024 series is Tu voto, nuestra voz - Your vote, our voice, and is part of its annual Culture of Health / Cultura de Salud national multimedia series. The 2024 series highlights the importance of engaging eligible voters, while also inspiring individuals who aren't yet able to vote by encouraging civic participation before, during and after the elections.

Voters in communities of color will once again play a pivotal role in the outcome of the general election this November 5th.

The Hispanic eligible voter population is projected to reach 36.2 million, an increase of almost 4 million from 2020. Latinx are expected to make up 14.7% of U.S. eligible voters, an increase from 13.6% in 2020. It is anticipated that 17.5 million Latinx will cast ballots, with 1 in 4 doing so for the first time in this presidential election. The Black eligible population will reach 34.5 million, a 7% increase compared to 2020, and at least 21.7 million are expected to cast their vote.

“Enhancing voter inclusion and access among eligible Latino and Black communities is a critical driver for the 2024 election,” said Alison Rodden, CEO of HCN Global.

“As one of the largest producers and syndicators of multicultural voter education content in the U.S., HCN Global is focusing our programming on providing voters with nonpartisan insights and voices from all sides of the political spectrum,” she added.

Key components of the series include:

  • Multilingual Outreach: Content and resources available in both English and Spanish to ensure broad accessibility.
  • Digital Engagement: Social media content and online resources to reach younger audiences and first-time voters.
  • Focus on Social Determinants of Health: Education on how voting decisions can impact factors like healthcare, education, employment, and housing, which are crucial to the well-being of all communities.

“We are aiming to support multicultural voters in not only making it to the voting booth to cast their ballots, but to also provide them with non-partisan insights so they may be highly informed voters when selecting the candidates that represent their values, needs, and vision,” said Rodden.

The series will last through election day November 5. Programming on HCN Global’s English-language platforms, LatinEQUIS and Melanin Thriving includes original video, audio and digital productions and information on how audiences can be civically engaged in their communities, both locally and nationally.

Multimedia segments will be broadcasted through HCN Global’s La Red Hispana affiliate multimedia networks of nearly 70 Spanish-language TV stations and more than 400 Spanish-language radio stations via its daily mini-programs and long-format programs, and on digital channels and social network channels of HCN Global.

Additionally, the campaign includes accompanying materials, digital toolkits, and resource pages to provide communities with information in English and Spanish on voter eligibility requirements, voting rights and responsibilities, and key issues.

The public can access Tu voto, nuestra voz - Your vote, our voice programming and additional content in both Spanish and English through  tuvotonuestravoz.com, yourvoteourvoice.com and yourvoteourvoice2024.com
