MIAMI, FL — May 14, 2024 — (NOTICIAS NEWSWIRE) — This year's Ibero-American Festival of Creativity (FIAP), powered by PRODU, takes a bold step forward with "Intelligent Creativity'' as its theme. This concept challenges participants to explore the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) as a tool to augment, not replace, human creativity. The 2024 communication strategy embodies this theme with the powerful message: "Let's be smart. Let's embrace AI to enhance creativity."
For the second year running, Humo Rojo leads FIAP's communication strategy, but this year they're moving beyond the question of "how AI impacts advertising. "Their innovative campaign positions FIAP as a launchpad for human talent that leverages technology for creative advantage.
Jorge "Tata" Varela, founder and CEO of Humo Rojo, highlights the pervasiveness of AI discussions in advertising. "From industry leaders like Sam Altman (CEO of OpenAI) to junior creatives, the conversation revolves around how to blend artificial intelligence and creativity," he observes.
Varela argues that the industry risks stagnation by focusing solely on how AI will impact those who directly use it. "We're in denial, setting conditions, seeking regulations," he explains. "We cling to the idea that talent will always reign supreme. This is a form of outdated futurology. AI's integration is inevitable; the question is how we'll navigate it."
The campaign is a rallying cry to keep pushing the boundaries. It urges us to embrace the power of technology and leverage it to craft even more powerful, impactful, and ultimately, more creative messages.
"The 'human versus machine' debate feels outdated," Varela emphasizes. "Perhaps this time, the focus shouldn't be on competition. In communication, I've always championed technology, and now more than ever, I believe it's about collaboration. AI can elevate human creativity, not replace it."
FIAP's "Intelligent Creativity" theme will permeate all communication materials. This includes the innovative use of AI-generated avatars for both jury members and participants.
"Let's experiment, push boundaries, and embrace the unexpected,” Varela highlighted. "And as we do it, let's fuel innovation by training these AI tools. Welcome AI, welcome technology. May the best, the most talented, be saved. Welcome to FIAP."
